TRISTRAM DAVIES (Tris), BTEC (Dip) Soft Tissue Therapy & Sports Massage

SPORTS MASSAGE & SOFT TISSUE THERAPIST

Tris is a man with many talents, starting out as a trainee equestrian eventer.

He completed a more in-depth learning course than most, studying massage and soft tissue therapy training with the Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage therapists in London – this included over 100 hours of hands-on massage training and exams with case studies.

As a partner with Amanda Marsh, he has long been aware of how physiotherapy can really improve people’s lives and has enjoyed finding the same with his regular clients using hands-on soft tissue techniques.

Tris says, “massage encourages width, depth, length and muscle elasticity, supporting posture and injury prevention, enabling everyone to do the things they love to do for longer. Sports massage is for everyone, not just athletes. As a therapist I’m always in control of what goes on in the therapy room, as a client you are always in control of the depth and pressure applied. I can release your tension and improve your wellbeing … I am also an actor but try not to hold that against me!”

DOMINIC BURCHETT, BSc (Hons) Sports Therapy, MSST

SPORTS THERAPIST

Dominic is a skilled Sports Therapist with experience in the sporting environment, performing Sports Massage, Sports Taping, pitch-side medical support as well as assessment and rehabilitation. Familiar with the clinical setting of assessment, diagnosis, and rehabilitation, he is committed to upholding patient safety in line with personal beliefs and community guidelines and procedures.

Dominic says “From a young age, I’ve always been active in a sporting capacity, taking part in any sport which interested me, even doing a different after-school activity 5 days a week before MORE football on the weekend. Because of this, I knew that I wanted to go to university and study something relating to sport, and after comparing the differences between Sports Therapy and Physiotherapy, I ultimately decided Sports Therapy was more suited to what I wanted to accomplish. I hope to help anyone I am lucky enough to meet.”

RACHEL HONEY

PRACTICE MANAGER

Before joining the team, Rachel’s career was in retail, at the John Lewis Partnership.  She worked across a variety of settings, from shops to head offices, carrying out a multitude of roles.   The themes that underpin everything she’s done are change and people: helping people find ways to feel more fulfilled and happy in their life, through their purchases, their work, their ability to adapt when change happens to them, and how to ask for and receive help from others.  She has a variety of skills to help make your experience at our clinic as smooth, efficient and enjoyable as possible – from advising you on anything to do with making a booking to helping you manage your account.  Rachel has lived in or near Marlborough for most of her life and she looks forward to connecting with you.  Look out for her ‘Birds from the Clinic’ posts on our social media!
